My approach

Individualised nutritional therapy

Nutritional therapy is most effective when it is personalised. Each person brings a unique combination of symptoms, health history, diet, lifestyle, preferences, environment and goals.

After each consultation, I review the case in detail and create a plan tailored to the individual. No two plans are the same. I do not use one fixed diet or a standard protocol for everyone. Instead, I work with each client's needs, preferences and practical circumstances to develop a nutritional strategy that can be followed in real life.

Looking at the whole picture

Symptoms rarely exist in isolation. Digestive symptoms, skin issues, autoimmune conditions, hormonal changes, fatigue, metabolic imbalance and recurrent infections can be influenced by several interacting systems.

My approach looks at how digestion, nutrient status, blood sugar balance, stress, sleep, hormones, immune function, detoxification pathways and the microbiome may be connected. This wider view helps identify potential root drivers and shape a plan that addresses more than the symptom that appears most obvious.

Nourishment, not restriction

The aim is not to follow a temporary diet or create unnecessary food fear. The goal is to build a way of eating that supports health, energy, resilience and long-term wellbeing.

Plans are designed to be realistic, affordable and sustainable. They take into account personal taste, cooking skills, culture, routine, family life and time constraints. Enjoyment of food still matters. A good plan needs to nourish the body without making daily life more difficult than it needs to be.

Practical, step-by-step support

Complex symptoms often need a staged approach. Rather than changing everything at once, the work focuses on the most relevant priorities first.

This may include improving meal structure, supporting digestion, correcting nutrient insufficiencies, stabilising blood sugar, reducing inflammatory triggers, supporting gut and immune function, or using targeted testing where appropriate. Plans are reviewed and adjusted over time according to progress, symptoms and test results.

Health within the wider environment

Individual health is also shaped by the environment. Food quality, lifestyle, chemical exposure, microplastics, heavy metals, mould, stress, sleep patterns and daily routines can all influence resilience.

Where relevant, I help clients make choices that support both personal health and a lower-toxin, more sustainable way of living. This does not mean perfection. It means identifying the changes that are most meaningful and realistic for each person.

Root-cause thinking

Root-cause nutritional therapy is about asking why symptoms are occurring and what may be maintaining them. The aim is to understand patterns rather than treat each symptom separately.

This whole-body perspective allows nutrition and lifestyle strategies to be directed where they are most likely to make a difference, whether the focus is digestion, skin, immunity, hormones, metabolism, energy or long-term resilience.
